Duran Paint is a full service painting and color studio based in Austin and founded by Vanessa Duran.

Vanessa started Duran Paint with the belief that paint can completely change the feeling of a space when it is chosen and applied with care. To her, paint is not just the final step — it should be considered with the same intention as the furniture, lighting, and architecture of a home.

With a background in design from the Art Institute of Chicago and years working in design in New York, Vanessa brings a thoughtful eye to color, proportion, and materiality. She works with clients to create well-balanced color schemes that bring clarity, warmth, and atmosphere to a space, always considering the light, architecture, and the way the home is lived in.

Duran Paint offers interior and exterior painting, color consultations, and specialty finishes. Every project is approached with careful prep, clean execution, and close attention to detail. Vanessa is involved in each step of the process, from the first walkthrough to the final touch-ups, so the work feels considered from start to finish.

Raised in San Antonio, Vanessa’s relationship with color is shaped by the warmth and richness of her Mexican and South Texas culture — an influence that brings depth, sensitivity, and character to her work.
